Charity of the Year

Small Beer is hoping the sky’s the limit in 2020 when it comes to raising money for our chosen Charity of the Year.

As part of our 40th anniversary celebrations this year, we will be supporting the Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance which helps save lives across the region.

Our annual wine tasting and golf days will be raising money for the charity and we are also entering a team for the Lincoln 10K run.

We currently have a pop-up charity shop in our front reception selling drinks for discount prices to raise money and in just a few weeks we have raised hundreds of pounds.

Commercial Director Karen Eastwood will also be heading up a team of four runners hoping to raise as much as they can by doing 40km together in our 40th year doing the Lincoln 10K run later this year. #40kfor40years

The charity has always been dear to our hearts with its offices just down the road from the Small Beer warehouse in Bracebridge Heath.

Since it began in 1984, it has undertaken 19,000 missions to help people in need and last year celebrated its 25th anniversary. It currently needs to raise £4m a year to enable its Ambucopter to fly 24/7 365 days a year.

Karen said: “We are really pleased to be supporting the Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance. They are only based a mile away from our depot and given the miles we do in our trucks and sales cars day in and day out, we never know when we will need them. All our fundraising this year will go towards them and we hope we can raise a significant amount.”
